Dr. Vrunda B. Desai joined CooperSurgical in 2018 and now serves as Chief Medical Officer at CooperSurgical, leading the company’s global clinical and scientific strategy to drive advancement and innovation of women’s health and reproductive care through a patient-centered, evidence-driven approach.
A board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with fellowship training in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery, she brings extensive clinical, academic, and industry leadership experience to advancing innovations that improve outcomes for women and families worldwide. Dr. Desai is recognized for her ability to bridge clinical excellence and safety, patient outcomes, scientific innovation, and healthcare economics.
Prior to joining CooperSurgical, Dr. Desai built a distinguished career in academic medicine, research, and healthcare leadership. She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Yale School of Medicine, where she contributes to medical education and multidisciplinary research focused on healthcare economics, clinical outcomes, and women’s health.
