The MX600 and MX610 spatulas are anatomically designed for maximum cell pickup of squamo-columnar junction cells, endocervical cells, and ectocervical cells. One side of the blade is mildly serrated for slight cervical scraping and the other is embossed for better cell pickup. They are sterile and disposable. The yellow, smaller size spatula is recommended for nulliparous, post-menopausal, and tender cervices. The white, medium or standard size spatula is used for most patients.
