How it works
Our proven method in sperm
cryopreservation
For almost 50 years, CooperSurgical have been committed to providing advanced sperm cryopreservation techniques and facilities. CooperSurgical’s processing and long-term storage facilities are registered with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). We implement extensive external and internal security measures, including restricted access to qualified and authorized personnel, 24-hour monitoring of all cryogenic storage tanks, and on-call response procedures for all facilities.
When your patients choose to preserve their sperm with Fertility Options, you can be confident they are receiving a higher standard of care.
STEP 1: Refer
Refer your patient to Fertility Options by name.
Consult your physician about recommendations regarding infectious disease screening. Once the necessary tests are determined, your physician can order the appropriate screenings for you. Fertility Options services do not include infectious disease screening.
STEP 2: Enroll
Your patient will create an online account, complete necessary consent forms, and provide payment information.
STEP 3: Schedule
The patient will find the nearest collection location and schedule an on-site collection appointment.
STEP 4: Collect
Your patient will arrive for their appointment and provide a specimen in a private, comfortable environment.
STEP 5: Results
The patient will be able to easily access their collection report in the Fertility Options portal within 3-5 business days.
STEP 6: Ongoing Storage
Your patient’s frozen sperm will be securely stored at an offsite storage facility until they request transport to a facility for use in IVF or IUI or terminate storage.
