Carter-Thomason CloseSure System®

The patented Carter-Thomason CloseSure System® is designed to prevent port site herniation, a relatively common complication of minimally invasive surgeries. The system is comprised of two components: the Pilot® guides and the Carter-Thomason suture passer.

Secure wound closure is achieved quickly, reliably, and accurately. This results in less OR time, less time under anesthesia for the patient, less cost to the facility, and greater patient satisfaction.

These are available in both the standard Carter-Thomason CloseSure System® and the XL for use in bariatric surgeries and with obese patients. Pilot® guides can be purchased separately.

Our new 15mm Standard Size Pilot Guide will provide physicians opportunities for port site closure with both Gynecologic and General Surgery procedures that require the use of a morcellators and large specimen retrieval bags.
