The RUMI System® is designed to support multi-sized and procedure-specific tips with dye injection capabilities. Currently available in 4 sizes, the RUMI® disposable tips are constructed of a soft-but-strong silicone elastomer over a rigid stainless steel core that mounts to the reusable RUMI® handpiece. The flexible base securely mounts onto the reusable RUMI® handle with an easy twisting motion. The result is a robust uterine manipulator that can be modified to meet the needs of your patient and procedure.
Soft distal tip - yields less trauma during insertion and use
The RUMI® tips have a soft flexible tip to protect uterine tissues from excessive trauma. The tip bends as it comes into contact with the uterine wall to reduce the risk of uterine perforation.
Silicone balloon - holds instrument firmly but gently in place
Unlike many tips that must be inflated with air, the strength and flexibility of the silicone material allows the RUMI® balloon to be inflated with saline. The result... the tip does not pull out under caudal traction, provides superior occlusion during chromopertubation, and resists breaking even during the most rigorous procedures.
