Saline-infused sonohysterography dramatically increases diagnostic yield. Studies* show that the slow infusion of saline into the uterus during transvaginal ultrasound can greatly enhance the depiction of uterine pathology.

This procedure can now be made simple and atraumatic with the H/S Elliptosphere™ Catheter, and can be performed in either the office or hospital setting. The H/S Elliptosphere™ Catheter for sonohysterography features:

• Patented  Elliptoshere™ balloon provides for secure and atraumatic placement in the cervical canal
• Balloon contour prevents retrograde leakage of saline, which helps facilitate optimal uterine distention

The H/S Elliptosphere™ Catheter for oil-based or water-based hysterosalpingography is a flexible, small size (5 Fr) catheter featuring a unique design that provides previously unavailable freedom from trauma for the patient. The unique placement sheath enables the balloon-bearing catheter to be quickly positioned into the uterus or into the cervical canal.
